BACKGROUND

SAWI’s genesis is traced to a tragic death of a  long-time close friend, who succumbed, at a relatively early age, to cervical cancer.  It  compelled us to join hands to fight against this gruesome disease  which ranks highest among female killer diseases.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Save A Woman Initiative (SAWI) is a registered Non Governmental Organization formed by a group of female young adults, with the support of reputable medical personnel, interested persons of good will. Its aims are to promote awareness, control and prevention of cervical cancer in Uganda, and collaborate with health professionals to provide services targeting  this cancer.
